This weekend was beautiful – not only was the weather perfect, but I got mostly everything done that I wanted to do (for once)! On Friday, I went up to the Plaza Art Fair. It was my first time there and it reminded me so much of the Old Town Art Fair that I loved going to every year in Chicago . Kind of a big deal in my head. Festivals are one thing about Chicago summers that I have missed the most this year, but this gave a little piece of my heart back.
Beer. Food tents. Crowds. Mini Sangria Pitchers. Art. Live Music. What more could you ask for?
Plus, I was delighted to see one of my favorite Chicago artists there! I’ve been a bit obsessed with Dolan Geiman‘s mixed media work since I saw his art for the first time at the Old Town Art Fair a few years ago. I purchased two pieces that are still at my condo in Chicago right now (grr…) and of course, do I have any photos of them? No.
His Virginia Den Collection deer has been on my list for awhile. I actually think this was one of my first pins on Pinterest (back in the day).
